Our Society Year starts in October each year - and everyone is welcome to join, come to monthly meetings, come to Aachen, attend other social events as they are organised. If anyone wants to come and have a taster that is fine - without committing themselves. No need to speak German but there are German speakers if anyone wants practice.

Membership of the Society is open to anyone interested in maintaining the long-standing links between Halifax and Aachen.
New Members are always welcome and Membership entitles you to go on exchange visits to Aachen in Germany.
The following year, a group of Aacheners will visit Halifax and we arrange for them to stay with the family or person they hosted the previous year. If that is not possible, then we find an alternative family to be their host.
You can, if you wish, volunteer to host a visitor even if you are not interested in visiting Germany.There are two categories of Membership fee
- Individual, and
- Family
For this you will receive our Newsletter several times each year and be able to attend the monthly Meetings and the AGM. You will also be able to take part in social and fund raising activities locally and meet people who have exchanged.
Guests may attend two meetings per year before they are required to become Members by paying the annual subscription.
