Our Society Year starts in October each year – and everyone is welcome to join, come to monthly meetings, come to Aachen, attend other social events as they are organised. If anyone wants to come and have a taster that is fine – without committing themselves. No need to speak German but there are German speakers if anyone wants practice. Are you open to new and interesting experiences, making new friends and having fun? You will be warmly welcomed as a new member.
The Society offers the following opportunities:
- A biennial visit to Aachen where we stay with families. On alternate years we host Aachen friends in our homes
- Visits to Aachen by individuals, schools, societies and groups
- Attending the prestigious Karlspreis Award
- Special events to raise funds such as concerts, stall at the Halifax Gala
- A monthly social meeting in the Maurice Jagger Centre with a Speaker
Language ability is not a barrier to enjoying these events fully.
