At the February meeting of the Society members were entertained by Andrew and Sally Stopford accompanied by David Whiteley on piano. Andrew gave a talk on the lives of Gilbert and Sullivan and the growth of musical societies dedicated to the performance of their comic operas. This was followed by a recital of some of the most popular songs from these shows which was warmly received.
