At the October meeting of the Halifax Aachen Society, local photographer Peter Hollings made a generous donation of 45 photographs of Halifax’s Twin Town, Aachen to Trevor Briggs, Chair of the Society.
As part of a commission, Peter took a series of photographs of Halifax and Aachen in 1987. The photos of Halifax were exhibited in Aachen at that time. Although more than a quarter of a century has passed, the wonderful photos of Aachen still give a vivid flavour of the character of that historic city centre.
Trevor thanked Peter for his gift – the photos will be a valued resource for the Society in years to come.
