A L Mackereth gave an entertaining talk at the November meeting of the Society on My experience with Radio Leeds.
Following his retirement as an optician and seeking new avenues to explore, he applied to be a contributor on the radio station. Beginning on the Sunday newspaper review programme, he has since been a panellist and contributor on many programmes as well as a film critic. He gave an interesting insight into how local radio works and some of the characters he has met along the way.
