Ken Robertshaw gave a colourful and gripping talk to the April meeting of the Society about how he fulfilled a lifelong ambition to take part in an expedition in the Arctic region.
Starting at Tromso in Norway he travelled 350km across northern Scandinavia on a sled pulled by 6 dogs in temperatures that dropped below -25 degrees centigrade. He described how the expedition coped with the extreme conditions and learned to manage and steer the dog teams.
