Trip to Northern India

Magical, Mystical, Majestic, Mad, above all, Unforgettable. These were the words with which Brian Crowther summed up his trip to Northern India in a talk and slide presentation to the February meeting of the Society. His visit began in Delhi moving on to Jaipur, Agra and Varanasi with magnificent ancient palaces and forts alongside the buzz of teeming cities where the traffic and flow of people never relented.
A visit to a Game Reserve provided some relief from the crowds whilst energy had to be conserved with temperatures in the 40 degrees Centigrade. The unforgettable Taj Mahal and the Ganges Holy River provided fitting climaxes to the tour.
