Down Memory Lane

Keith Barber gave a nostalgic and humorous talk titled Down Memory Lane to the August meeting of the Society. His audience were reminded of life in the post-war years as he vividly described growing up in a poor area of Leeds in the 1940s and 50s. He compared those times favourably with many aspects of life that we take for granted today.

The Society was pleased to welcome to the meeting Holly Lynch MP who had come to hear more about the Society’s activities. She is a strong supporter of town twinning links between communities in Calderdale and their partners in other countries.
